Occupational Therapy

Many people think the word “OCCUPATION” is a work-related term; however, an occupation refers to the activity in which a person occupies or engages self.

It can be divided into

  • Activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Sleep
  • Education
  • Work
  • Play
  • Leisure
  • Social participation

For a child, his major occupations are Play, Education, Sleep, ADLs and Social participation. At times, children face difficulties performing these occupations smoothly. Then, Occupational therapists assist them and their parents, to build skills that enable their kids to be independent.
